make a copy of superchip

   i heard that you can make a copy of a superchip (if you know someone who has one) which will cost you much cheaper than buying one. does anyone know exactly how its done and does it really work?

   It's possible, you need someone that knows to copy eproms and has the hardware. You just need a friend with a Superchip in his VTS who is willing to open the ECU unit and gutt it of the chip. I have a friend that did that and got the software (not the superchip though).
   
   I had an AX Gti before my VTS and got the Superchip software from the web, put it on a chip and instaled it. So if you find something on the web...share, share dude!!!

   where on the internet did you find the software for the chip? so all i need is the find some with superchip on a vts, i guess 106gti will do as well, and get it copied then get it installed on to my car. ECU is the brain ins't it

   Some dude on an AX forum emailed me the software so fat chance that we're gonna get it easy. And yes the ECU the cars computer stays.
   
   If someone has the sperchip installed (Saxo VTS or 106 S16-Gti), as I said, you need to convice him to open the ECU and pull the chip out then replicate it with the appropriate harware.
   
   There might be a way to download the software on from the ECU but havent seen that done except in the Citroen shop with the Lexia (when I got my free upgrade to the latest 2001 ver.)

    still wat u gona do just stick it on and hope for the best,when u give ur car to superchip the dont just stick it on and send u away minus 400squid,they map it to ur car on the rollers,there is no point in copying some1esles cos it wont match ur car

    super chip DONT map there chips to individual cars. Not unless you go to there head quarters and pay much much much more money to have an individual chip made to your car.
    
    A far better idea would be a dastek uni chip, that is mapped to your car and can be mapped again and again as you add new mods

    i guess streetracer has sent you the software , mine are the same as his, have you tried them yet?
