Taking out front seats

Afternoon,
I've had a search but kept finding people that have problems with the airbag light an not answering my Questions.. which is.. I want to take my fron Seats out of a furio and replace them with VTR ones, what do I do to make sure the airbag doesnt go off?
Do I simply disconnect the battery and leave this for a period of time? or..

hi mate just unplug the seat belt tensioners under the seat (the orange wire) ur air bag wont go off , take the seat out and replace with the new one and plug the orange wire back in or ur air bag warning light will be flashing on ur dash , hope this helps

the torx screw size to take them out is T40 too incase you need to buy one

and what Jay said, just unplug seat tensioner under the seat where the orange wire is and re-connect with the new seats in place

Also thanks Baz.. got everything out of the old car, and into mine apart from the front seats, as in the process I managed to lose the end of the socket, so would've been trying to find out the correct fitment for ages, good ol' ebay saved me though [ :

everything on the saxo seems to be the same size, 10mm bolt, T40 torx and a T20 or something like that torx for door cards etc, or it just pulls off

just unplug the seat belt tensioner, replace theseats and plug it back in!

my seats! u neva told me u bort them! soz to dig up an old thread. the vtr lives on in a furio lol
