   Just a standard grill that's had the slits taken out and meshed.

   I think it's pretty straight forward. I don't have a mk1 but I think they slats just unclip/screw and then you just put the mesh on and bond it on.
   
   Someone who's done it before will be able to give you a better answer though.

   yeah am sure you can just revmove that section and replace it wi mesh.my mate did it.theres some ready made on ebay but its way overpriced

   yeh sounds quite easy i had a good look on ebay they did seem a bit 2 expensive i might have a look and see if i can do wen i get me car back cheers guys rep for both
