smoothed bonnet grill

    has anybody had problems with overheatin when they have had the above done. Would i have to put a bonnet vent on to let the cold air in.

    I've had mine done and had no problems with overheating

    The hole in the front is only for a cold air feed to the induction kit

    Yep! They welded a plate in and used fibregalss and filler to get the right curve. You can buy pre-made fibreglass bonnets now for the saxo which are much lighter and cheaper to do. It also means you can keep the original bonnet for when you sell the car on

    Got the bolts attached to the slam pannel and the pins are attached to the bonnet and slide into place. Had them done becase I lost the original safety catch and didn't want the bonnet flinging up at high speed!

    found a fiberglass one on ebay will order it on tuesday. my vtr is siver and im in two mind wether to have it painted silver or black, cuz i am in the black and siver theme.

    i have already looked mate. cant transfer money till monday,tuesday and knowing my look it will be sold. it is cheaper than the ones on ebay but there is 7 available

    I have got it done and have no problems with over heating,that one on eBay is made of a type of plastic so might stretch etc compared to fibreglass,get it done cheaper to your original bonnet instead
    Also get the bodyshop to make you a new catch or else you wont be able to open the bonnet without it being a pain

    it says its fiberglass. I could do my bonnet myself except the painting but on the drivers side just above the head light it doesnt sit totally flush. its only the edge and ive never tried to badboy one

    I was about to say if your bonnet doesnt fit completely flush entend the bonnet abit more into a Bad boy style I did it

    im guessing its just moulded in using fibreglass?

    Hi ya, i have one of the fibreglass bonnets from ebay... i had it fitted and sprayed last week and i gotta say it is very high quality and looks awsome.
    deffintley worth the money.

    ive got the same done aswell and had no problems atall with over heating , people have said to me omg the car must overheat bigtime but it doesnt even in the summer when it was real hot outside i still didnt have any problems so go for it bud
