    i have a 4 branch, & zorst straight through, BMC, & a 106 rallye box waiting for a rebuild!

i was thinking along the lines of engine & a cam, before the engine goes in itll have a double head gasket, deglazed, & uprated top mounts so should run well. how much is a decent mapping session these days??
so engine will be arond £350 - 400 ish, so leaves me with 250 300 for extra... is a cam the only option next... any1 know mucha bout no2????

£400 is the usual remapping price at Chipwizards.

Hmm thats alot of money! Id rather spemd more & have the full works of a stand alone system.

So how much is No2 for say a 25 wet shot??

£600 notes for a nos kit mate 25 is the lowest they start you on then increse it gradually you cant start on a 50 or 100 shot cause its will reem your pistons

I was reading about a progressive release system the otherday which seems a better option than just blasting it all in one go.

id only have a 25 shot not going to ruin the engine! bout £600 hmm ill have to shop around then, maybe ill just buy the new engine and save the extra for a turbo charged rainy day! LOL

    Just a quick question.

As your engine has done so many miles now Westy, would you rather go for a new engine or have a rebuild done?

Also whats the pro's and con's of the two

my engine is still runing sound, touch wood!! A bebuild could bring problems, a rebuild would mean, new head gasket, deglazing, new rings new pistons, new seals, new everything! wot is the chance of taking it apart & putting it back to gether again perfectly withing 1 10th of a millimetre!! rather slim... this could lead to the head gasket going, oil leaks, and lots more, so id raterh pop a newer unit in thats already set up & good to go if you see wot i mean.
