Green Light - Whats it for?

   We Recently installed a CD player in my Saxo Forte, and since then, we have noticed a small green light on a long wire coming through.
   
   Does anyone have any idea what its for?
   It stays on permanant!
   
   It stays lit Green whether the car's engine is on or not!

   do you have a pic or can you describe it a little better.
   Just so you know there is a permenant live feed to a head unit in which case it could be that
   
   You'll find that your original head unit would play when the engine wasnt on either... well mine certainly did

   I don't know, its just a little green bulb light that remains on all the time.
   Its on a long thin black wire.
   
   I thought it could be something on one of the unit, such as the buttons on top or the fans etc?
   
   It had the original Citroen cassette Player in it before, and theres no where where the light may have been"

   nope theres nothing like that mate, is your heat slider still got a bulb or some form of coming from light behind it?
   
   if not the light has most probably been pulled out of its socket to the heat sliders when you where fitting your new HU

   Yeah, the heater control uses a little bulb. Does that light up with the lights on?
   
   The switches have sealed in bulbs. So it's either a random mod, heater control light or Cig lighter bulb.

   I thought it might be the cig lighter thing.

   Only green cos of the plastic it shines throu.
   
   Can change the bulbs 4 grn 1's thou.

   no, the actual bulb is green, cos its sat near my gearstick handing through the unit.

    i dont have the foggyest mate, the bulb for the heater is standard bulb yellowy colour
