Spoiler removal

I was just wondering if any one has removed the ugley spoiler on the back of there vts'? Its the large style one that sits on top of the boot. I think saxo's look much better with out them but didnt want to pull it off and find out there will be holes left in the boot or the bonding peels the paint off! Has any one succesfully removed one without then having to visit a body shop after!
