not sure if this is in the right section but im after a set of new tyres for the front wheels. got the stanard vtr alloys, dont want to spend a fortune but want something with decent grip. any ideas?

Without a doubt the Michelin Pilot sx as from the factory. I tried loads of tyres on my vtr and the Michelins were the best balance of grip and wear

I've got the new michelon pilot sx and they stick to the road. Very Very Very good tyres. Cheapest I got them for were 82pounds a tyre but well worth the money investing in a good set of tyres as they are an essentual to a car I think. I had shite tyres once and paid the price so never again.

Ive just had my 2 fronts replaced with michelans and I am mighty impressed by them. They are way better than the firestones I had on there before.

Have Michelon Pilot SX on the rear of mine but changed the front tyres to yoko tyres. Much Better

Just ordered my new alloys with yokos all round - ADVAN Sport, not the cheapest but good reviews.

Will give a review once I have had a chance to try them...

Yoko have a softer compound so stick well in the dry but for all round performance I would still stick to the Michys, and they'll last longer
