lightened & balanced pistons & conrods

    . just wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of a difference it makes really! and if it would be justified on a cammed vts with port & polished head, all breathing mods etc. 160-165bhp roughly.

    im gonna do it myself. got some digi scales that weigh to .0000 of a gram. just a matter of taking each piston and filing the out to be the same weight. would buy the conrods allready done though with arp bolts. just a thought for when i got the head off being port & polished.

    there pretty well balanced standard, i wouldnt bother, unless you bored

    tu bottom ends are very well balanced, and light as std, they can rev to 9k+ without too much trouble. Becasue of this trying to lighten them yourself will make them lighter, but you will probably give them inbalance. Which will destry the engine prematurley.
