406 brembos fitted

  1. #1
fitted the 406 brembos today. couldnt get a pic with the wheel on as it was dark by the time i finished bleeding them. need to adjust brake bias valve as the front is braking so hard its lifting the rear and locking the rear wheels.

    (shitty camera phoen pic)

does anyone know what master cylinder to use? i had 1 marked up '406 petrol' but it is the same size as my saxo 1 and the plug doesnt reach to the socket on the resivoir.

and the JUST fit under my team dynamics pro race 1.2s!!!!!! thats in a ford fitment with spacers.

nice mate, i take it you had brackets/spacers custom made? what size discs you running? regarding the master cylinder, i'm sure i read that the one from a 406 2.0 8v fits and is slightly bigger, not sure if that's what you have or not?

they fitted straight on using the 283mm gti180 discs.
i have just bought a gti6 master cylinder off tam on ssc, hopefully that will work.

looks awesome mate! bet they have some stopping power!
i think ive just got my hands on some cheap 306 brakes, fancy a task

Looks good will they squeeze under vts wheels in your opinion?

Look dead smart they do! Would of loved to get a set of Brembo Gran Turismo 4 Pots but its like £1000! Waste of cash really, much better off with the 406 Coupe ones.

Will pickles be getting the mighty gold 206gti180 calipers of love?
  13. #13
    they are red now dave
and yes, he will be getting them.

as far as wheels go. its no the height thats the problem, its the width of the calipers. these are huge calipers but are very light. they just fit behind my TD pro race 1.2s. and i mean JUST. no way at all would they fit behind vts wheels unless you use 20mm spacers.
