Much Diff Between 60mm And 40mm In Ride Roughess?

At the moment my car is lowered 60mm front and bout 70mm up back.....its bumpy as fuck and annoys me. If i changed the springs to 40mm would the ride be much different, would i be better off going back to standard height?

Also seeing as i have the full kit are the 40mm springs compatible with the 60mm shocks/dampers or would i have to buy the whole kit again?

    cheers

you should only have to buy your springs as the shockers should do 30mm to 80mm, id have it the same level all round or your handling wont be as good.
people say that 40mm is the best for fsat road use.
what alloys/tyres have you got on?

Marv, last week i was down 60 front 80 back.

Over the weekend i put some -40mm springs on n lifted the back up to about 40mm too (ill post a thread up later on with pics etc).

The difference is immense! You still feel big bumps and potholes but general ride quality has much improved.

I can also get over the speed bump at the top of my street now with out having to straddle it using 2 lanes! :

I suffer it down 80mm front 100mm rear on coilovers , my passangers moan alot though specially as I currently have no Heating :-(

But to answer your question , yes the ride is bumpy as anything. Its even worse as a passanger I did not realise until I let my mate drive me arround some bumpy lanes
