Hi guys, just a quick question. I have decided to start modding my vtr and want to start with alloys. It is completely standard other than a magnex back box. Will i be able to fit 17's on it without changing the arches? Thanks.
Alloys?

#2you will need to trim the arches remove arch liners etc
the lower you go the more work needed
also try get low profile tyres -
#3ok cheers mate

#4Is there any particular reason you want to go for 17s on your Saxo?
I was thinking 17s when I first started getting into the modding scene (haven't actually done any mods to my baby yet) but then I thought on a Saxo 17s look too big.
I basically class 16s as the biggest option on a Saxo and 15s being right there. -
#5IMO 17" look good, once the archwork is done properly you shouldnt encounter that many problems, If you are going to lower it 2 (i will look stupid if you dont to be honest) then make sure you bend the PAS pipe.

#6get 15s. 17s look silly. But if you have to have big wheels, then get 16s.

#7as above 17s look silly definately go for 16s

#8In my opinion 17's can be ok on the right car. 16's are not big at all. They are the perfect size.

#917's rock! Just make sure you choose your design wisely. I've seen 17's that look huge on saxos and others that look just right
-
#10yeah may consider 16" instead. Thanks for your help guys.

#11what is all this sh*t about offset and p.c.d? apparently the vtr offset is 16 or somethin but loads of alloys are like 35? what happens if i dont buy wheels with the same offset? sorry to keep askin and bein a pain in the arse!!

#12ET is offset. For a soxo you want ET15/16. If the wheels you're lookin at are ET35 you will want 20mm hubcentric spacers to make them fit.Quote:what is all this sh*t about offset and p.c.d? apparently the vtr offset is 16 or somethin but loads of alloys are like 35? what happens if i dont buy wheels with the same offset? sorry to keep askin and bein a pain in the arse!!
pcd is the distance between the bolts that hold the wheel on. Most citroen/pug/ford are 4x108, which means 4 stud, 108mm apart
Hope that helps -
#13are they just the spacers that u can buy from car accessory shops?
