Alloys?

  1. #1
Hi guys, just a quick question. I have decided to start modding my vtr and want to start with alloys. It is completely standard other than a magnex back box. Will i be able to fit 17's on it without changing the arches? Thanks.

you will need to trim the arches remove arch liners etc

the lower you go the more work needed

also try get low profile tyres

Is there any particular reason you want to go for 17s on your Saxo?

I was thinking 17s when I first started getting into the modding scene (haven't actually done any mods to my baby yet) but then I thought on a Saxo 17s look too big.

I basically class 16s as the biggest option on a Saxo and 15s being right there.

IMO 17" look good, once the archwork is done properly you shouldnt encounter that many problems, If you are going to lower it 2 (i will look stupid if you dont to be honest) then make sure you bend the PAS pipe.

get 15s. 17s look silly. But if you have to have big wheels, then get 16s.

as above 17s look silly definately go for 16s

In my opinion 17's can be ok on the right car. 16's are not big at all. They are the perfect size.

17's rock! Just make sure you choose your design wisely. I've seen 17's that look huge on saxos and others that look just right

yeah may consider 16" instead. Thanks for your help guys.

ET is offset. For a soxo you want ET15/16. If the wheels you're lookin at are ET35 you will want 20mm hubcentric spacers to make them fit.

pcd is the distance between the bolts that hold the wheel on. Most citroen/pug/ford are 4x108, which means 4 stud, 108mm apart

    Hope that helps
