1.1 gearbox

    have tried searching this but to no real answer.

    What effect would a 1.1 gear box have on my westcoast? performance, reliability, economy etc...

    Didnt have one fitted by choice, just budget as it was the cheapest!!

    Sorry if this has already been spoke about, just didn find the answer i needed.

    quicker 0-60,same reliability,less fuel economy on long journeys

    i did the vtr conversion on my 1.0 and i left the 1.0 gearbox on and the lower end torque is alot more noticeable and the 0-60 feels quicker! just top end struggles a bit but i dont need it for that anyway as it happily sits at 70 but starts screamin bout 95 lol

    The WestCoast/Furio/Derv box is the tallest out of the lot if i remember correctly... and the 1.1 is the smallest... so in theory you're in for rather good gains in acceleration.

    but you lose your overdrive (5th)
