do they have more travel than standard dampers to allow for car lowering?
aftermarket dampers
-
#1
-
#2Just stiffer.
If they are shortened shocks id imagine the travel would be even less but the stiffness will compensate for it. -
#3only shorter stroke dampers i know of are the bilstein sprintlines
-
#4mint! iv got some of them eyed up at the mo!
-
#5bingo as Scott said, what the others do is have shorter bumpstops i believe.
-
#6oh right. do all blistens offer more travel.
do you think its too low then? -
#7Speed bumbs in your area?? If there are, its too low.
-
#8yer there are bit iv got over them all so far
-
#9bilstiens are for good handling, being that low would defeat the purpose of buying the billies in the first place. if you plan to stay that low then buy a cheap kit like spax etc, if not then raise it to 40mm and whack the billies on. they don't have more travel, because they're shorter.... you need shorter dampers as standard length dampers would bottom out over every bump.

#10how much am i lloking at for coilovers?
-
#11much much
-
#12can get FK's for about 500 iirc but i really don't see the point in having all that adjustabillity, just adds problems in my opinion. if you'r serious about handling then get some billies and some faulkners 200lb spring on.
