  2. #2
if thats a will instead of how then probly not mate, why u want 1 so u can smooth all the bumper over?
  3. #3
i'm not 100% it would even fit in the first place, aren't the bores of the exhausts different?
  4. #4
    Yes smooth bumper.

Bugger, no go then you think Sean?
  5. #5
na it wont fit the bore is quite alot smaller only way you could make it fit is to cut the flange off your old box and weld that to the 1.1 one it is posible
  6. #6
Euro style...seems a good option Leckster; would like to see it when its done
  7. #7
It'll redline at 70 in 5th, but to that 70 i'm sure would be fun!!!

wouldnt that mean i couldnt sell my backbox tho?
  9. #9
na mate best bet is to find a cheap backbox for sale, if yours is an aftermarket one im sure you dont want to be cutting it up lol
  10. #10
Yeh, dont see the point in ruining the backbox just to put a 1.1 box on lol.

How about the 'flange' off a standard VT box cut off to fit with the 1.1?
  11. #11
yea cut the flange of the vt one and cut the flange off the 1.1 box and weld the vt flange to the 1.1 box best off joining it where the pipe meets the box if that makes sence
  12. #12
Not a clue but i know what to tell the garage lol.

    Thanks mate.
  13. #13

i'd love to hear the explanation of how changing the backbox can take 50mph off the car's top speed?

Leckie- either weld it on or see if you can source some kind of reducer from someone like powerflow or exhausts uk etc

if it was to fit,it would be a closer ratio therefore lower top end but getting there quickly! i hear the diesel boxes are the 1s to stick on a vtr/s no idea why!!!

ive had mine at 115 so on sat nav probably about 93 lol

My 1.1 can get near 100, maybe just over if I found a long enough road.

how about just chop the pipe what sticks out off

    jobs a good 1

if not a 1.1 box wont fit as the bores are diffrent as said welb a vtr bore onto a 1.1 box

    also wont lose 50mph
