satin paint and laquer?

   just a very quick, and i'm sure easy to answer question...
   
   with satin paint, i don't need to use laquer do i? its on the centre console if it makes a difference.

   Yeah, but the laqucer will create a barrier layer!
   
   It'll make it more resistant to scratches etc!
   
   But it could make it look more like a gloss finish
