Need more speed from vtr 01

how can i get more speed out of my vtr , was thinkin of supercharging or turbocharging
what would you recomend . has any one got any tips ?

turbo's r the bollocks like but chargers have there advantages also. these mods ain't cheap tho so yi need to be sure before u go for it dp motorsport and gmc r the big names for saxo's

I agree with scott and chalkie either dp for a turbo conversion or GMC for a supercharger kit!!! again both arent cheap!!!!

also it depends what mods u have already cos putting other mods together will help them compliment each other!!which equals more power!!! hope that made sense??

though i aint too good with advice, this is just what ive been told!!!!

Yeah i could have but its the insurance , im only 18 and it will cost a bomb for me so i want to try and tune up my vtr , and as for power a quicker 0 - 60 would be nice!

well if you supercharge or turbocharge your vtr it is still going to increase you insurance a lot. Probably to more than a VTS insurance as you will have more power than a vts.

If u dont declare it and u crash ur fucked, they wont pay u a penny and u will have to fork out for the other persons car aswel, up 2 u but its not worth risking!!

yer i have declare everything! And who cares if u crash well let see, if u crash theres the damage to ur car or maybe ul total it there 4 thats £8000 or sumat lost then the damage to the other persons if theres sum1 else involved, say its a bmw then lets say a couple of grand or worse totalled £2000. Yep its now how fast you drive its when you should drive fast, some people take stupid risks and every1 has 2 pay 4 them. Im payin shit loads 4 my insurance on my vtr, and want more power, but am having 2 wait until im in a situation where i can declar it all and stay insured. all it needs is 4 sum little prick like him 2 hit me, and ill be just as screwed as him and i wont have been in the wrong.

Hey, y not take the advanced drivers test, u get practice in different situations sometimes on a track and after u pass, u pay less to insure ur car, no matter wot age u r, and they teach u how 2 drive faster but safer than normal drivers, pretty much wot the police drivers learn, or just try gettin a Rally licence, thenu can compete in the British rally championship w/cars the same power as urs, ok, u need a kinda large budget,but max is probably about 6k 2 prep the car and run it

Good on u deano. My mate didn't declare his mods on his fiesta zetec-s and when someone pulled out in front of him it wrote the car off but coz the insurance found out about his mods... well, say goodbye to the car and anything its worth. It's not worth trying to cheek insurance!
On the topic of insurance, how much do you rekon a cat back magnex system will bump up my insurance by? I've only had to declare an induction kit and that cost £40 extra on the insurance.

you would pay out loads anyway if you crashed even if the insurance did pay out they would bang your premium up sky high for the next 3 years. if i ever crash i am not claiming so you won't win either way. declaring or not declaring

if you declare and crash you will be paying about 3000 grand a year for 3 year on your renewals

if you don't declare you will lose your car if you write it off and if you hit someone probably do a runner and report stolen

anyway he was being an arse you were trying to help him out ffs
