well as you guessed the cars being lowered as you read this i said i wanted 40 front and 50 back but he said that it would through the back arse of the car out when i would turn so im going 40mm all round and then sticking on all black mudflaps to make it look even lowerer
big clap for me
yeahhhhhh
Cars being lowered as u read

#2lol mines 40 and 60 mate handles lovly lol,get some piccys up when its done
-
#3a sure will regreting that i didnt when ever it was standard so i can see the difference because on my friend furio it looks lowered but not that low and he said it was 40 but then on my other mates gold vtr he said its 40 and it looks 60 or something
he said he doesnt want the back arch covering my wheel or something a forget now like! aslong as it doesnt mess with the new powerflow s.s exhaust am getting hopefully next week -
#4aww ok mate my wheels isnt under my arch mate,im sure it will look good, what colour your car
-
#5Blue Mk1 Westy like keep tryn to upload my siggy but cant find anywhere to set it like
-
#6if the cars lower at the back, surely it will understeer?
-
#7well saxos are higher on the back anyway so 40 60 will equal it owt
-
#8it will understeer. Its set higher at the rear for a reason "leveling" it out wont do the handling any good
-
#9ok well it handle good to me.ive driven a few saxos standard and lowerd.i personally lk 40 and 60 set up,we all have our person set up
-
#10Good luck with the mudflaps, i had some on mine when i had it lowered, as soon as you go over a speed bump it scraps along the floor and eventually you'll get home 1 day to find out your missing 1, and then all of a sudden youve got none.

#11I had my 106 Lowered 40mm all round. Biltstein shocks with all bushes replaced with polybushes.
Held very well and felt solid on the rear.
The back end has now been dropped to 50mm and tbh It does affect steering.
I can feel its very its very sharp and edgy, very hard to explain!
Looks much better but doesnt feel as sensible. -
#12would i be wise in getting strut braces after i get it lowered ? could that help with the handling for some reason i want them but i duno what they do and i have a thing in my head saying it does something like stiffen the chassis and like stiffen the shocks from moving or something
-
#13Yea Sturt Braces do help with stability. you can only get Front Upper and Front Lower ones, ive heard the lower ones are the most effective.
The reduce flex in the chassis and help tighten things up. I have an upper one in mine and it does slightly compliment the setup. Lower one will be on the way soon.
They dont cost much so worth the cash if you want that sort of effect mate. -
#14looks like i will be investing in some of these then! thanks for the help man
-
#15No worries mate, suspension bushes shouldnt be overlooked also, but these can be very expensive inc fitting.
What shocks/springs setup have you gone for?
Please dont say Gmax?!
: lol
-
#16spax springs in the middle of getting the shocks through as they are taking ages to arrive
i changed 52 bushes in a vectra for the MOT including the rear wheel main ones that are on the suspension so shouldnt be too hard or else the old haynes manual should come in handy for one hahaha -
#17You just lowering it on springs for the moment then?
-
#18yip it looks the job and the boy that did them advised me to go with blistein shocks instead of the spax ones but he said that it should be a brave while yet before i need them as the shocks are good on the car he also said he had no trouble getting tthe torsion bar out which was a relief to hear but he did say he had to replace a track rod end as the joint kept spinning even when it was locked hahaha so tomorrow i need to go get it retracked and grease up and pack my drivers side driveshaft which aint hard like
