Cars cutting out

    Ok champs

My car all of a sudden has decided to cut out everytime i slow down or press down my clutch, and when i eventually get it going, the speedo or rev counter dont work.

    Anyone else experienced similar problems??

Sounds like the ICV (idle control valve) ids blocked... you're coming off the revs are you not?... that means the plenum will fully close.... try setting the stepper back abit so the butterfly is slightly open until you get the ICV cleaned out (easy enough to do yourself)

Ok then so it sounds like the idle control valve, but would this effect the instrument panel on the dash board because nothing seems to work at all, no revs, no speedometer.

No that appears to be a fuse or relay fault...

i had the same problem all instruments just stopped, it turned out to be a dodgy conection to my battery, i just disconected the battery and reconected it and it came back to life lol.

didn't do it every time, but stalled itself in a similar way. Was the ignition coil.
