Spraying steelies

  1. #1
    Hey ho,

If i was to spray steel rims do you reckon that i'd have to bother sanding it all down to start with.

Obviously i'd have to sand down the primer but i don't want to spend too much. I just fancy some white ones

    Cheers all,

    Dan

Hi Mate What You Would Need To Do Is Sanddown Any Rust Patches If Any And Key The Surface And Then Use Either A Tack Rag Or Pre Paint To Get Rid Or All The Dust Hope This Helps

Dan, take a drive down to your local Citroen dealer and ask them to look up what wheels a VTS left the factory with. Wen I droped my spare wheel my dad went to get one for me and they said my VTS left the factory with 14" WHITE steel rims (I guess the same as 106rallye) and at £37 aint to bad.

there is a company called www.106parts.com who also trade on eBay which sell brand new 106rallye Michelen sport Steel rims (Standard fitment) for £40 per wheel Brand new.

Check the SE Section for the thread labelled 'White Wheels Sir?' and have a read :-)

At £40 Each For Rallye Wheel Youd Be Better Getting A Set Of Vtr Alloys Than Pay £40 A Wheel And Then Have To Get Tyres Fitted Just Paint Your Black Steelies

    These are the Rallye Rims

They should weigh abit lighter than an alloy, people forget that heavy wheels can be a drain on performance, thats why Lotus's come with Magnesium wheels Super lite :-)

Plus steelies will look great !

Dan you reckon your have them done in time for Lakeside?

The Rallye Rims Look Not Bad There Cheap On Tyres But At The End Of The Days There Still Steelies

Vtr Wheels Getting Polished Should Look Good
