engine transplant..

i am looking to get a bigger engine in my car... preferebly the 1.6 16v out of the vts..... i currrently have a 1.1i

was wondering where the best place to get it done... traveling is not a worry as it the quality of work that is most important.

and also roughly how much it will cost....

Hi mate, I looked into this about six months ago, at the time i had a VTR and got quoted £1000 to have the VTS engine fitted including ECU, Manifold, and the radiator, in exchange for my VTR engine. in the end i traded my VTR in for a VTS, i was worried about doing this as my mods were well on their way on the VTR but its the best thing i've ever done, the VTS was even more modded than the VTR. I would go this route every time, i believe Adam_M has had some probs with his on SSC if you speak to him. PS mine was quoted at a Citroen Parts, and breakers garage in Warrington so how good the work is.. your guess is as good as mine.

GMC in scotland do full engine transplants including ECU, engine, wiring loom - everything you need to be up and running, Ive heard good things about them. cant remember off hand but i think its about £2500 for the transplant

im not going down this route now.. am going to keep my car for another year.. then trade it in for a vts!!
