Gear Knob Change! HOW??!?!

   o.k., i'm totally new to this and wanted to change some very little things first. i have a 1998 saxo and i wanted to change the gear knob. one, i dont know how to. And, Two, With the shape and style of the gear stick, the rubber housing of the gear stick is gonna fall about once i remove the old knob. Please help!! all guides to this appreciated!!

   buy the haynes max power guide to modding a saxo it tells you how to do it in there. But basically u have to YANK the old one off (a good long hard pull will do the trick) then u have to cut a few bits of plastic and then the new one goes on easy from there. this mod is not as hard as it sounds

   basically, put it in fourth get a foot eitehr side of it and pull like fuck, it might come off easy and you might nearly fly out the back window or it could be tough as fuck
   
   then your new gear knob should have plastic sleeves that one will fit snuggly over the gear stick, then you put the gear knob over it and tighten the grub screws up til it fits tightly, these may need tighten now and again as tehy bite through the plastic
   
   you can buy replacement gear gaitors that will not fall down as easily

   yup as scott said
