Knocking In The Engine

   I have a 2000 saxo sx and there is a knocking in the engine at around 2 and a half thousand revs!!Its a 1.1 and i cant figure it out!Any ideas?

   Sounds like something loose in there mate.
   Is it only under load in gear, or when stood revving in neutral?
   > Pop the bonnet, get someone to sit inside (in neutral) with revs at 2500 or whatever and have a look around for something that might be making the noise. Mind your self on all the rotating parts when in there though!!!!!
   > Think sometimes stuff rattles off exhaust?
   > Maybe the exhaust itself is loose?
