lowering 1.1 saxo

What do i need to lower my car? At the moment it is perfect over bumps, but its just to damn high.

Can i lower the rear without buying anything? Also what do i need to do the front? I could buy springs but i think the full suspension is a better option?

Please guide me Im not thinking of lowering it on its ass, just something subtle especially as im getting VT kit fitted. Would fitting 14 or 15" wheels save me lowering it or not? (dont think so)

How much we talking to do it? My Mechanic charges £15.00 p/h so rough price?

    Cheers.

15 quid is a decent price matey, depending on the time the mechanic takes too do it of course

nope bigger wheels usually make your car higher as i found out when i got my alloys!! lol, i want my car lowered too, yes a full kit would be the best option, but if your goin down a max of 40 springs should do fine

as for the rear, no you wont need anything (if your only getting springs) as the torsion bar is adjusted and thats it

Yeah the guy is apsolutely sound! He did a hell of a load of work on my car and only charged £50 including parts. And the parts cost well over 30 odd quid and he had the car for 3 days.

Is the "spax" kit the one to go for? or does it matter.

Unless i can find a full kit cheap(ish) will i be ok with getting just the springs?

Dont need anything for the rear at all do i? Like you said just the torsion bar.

i got a gmax kit and lowered mine 55/60mm on the front
    80mm on the rear

Also have 15" alloys and can still take a full car, speed bumps are a challenge tho lol

looks like im going to have to put ANOTHER topic in the f/s section lol. i think il just make ONE for everything i need then the others can be deleted.
