#2yes you can do it
take the grill off and you will see little plastic welds holding the slats in, slice the welds off then the slats will come out
then atach mesh to grill
then put grill back on -
#3You Can Mesh Do The Above And Then To Hold Mine In A Tiger Sealed It Or P.u. Sealant Same Stufff
-
#4do you think it will look better if i leave the grille off and just keep it meshed? or will it look stupid?
-
#5if you leave the grill off you would be left with a nasty sight, pretty much just a space where a grill should be!
ill find a pic of a meshed grille for you -
#6Have a browse through the gallery's on here. Dare say there is a few who have done different things. See which you prefer and do that. Some mesh'd ones dont look too good in my opinion where as some look better than the standard grill. Depends on mesh. Colour coding the grill i think looks good on certain colours.

#7I can picture just removing the grille, throwing it out and putting some nice gloss black mesh on it to contast with the silver car.

#8Colour Coded (black badges)

Standard Meshed

i understand the idea your coming from with removing the grill but that wont work at all, what you can do tho!!! is a dimma grill like so on mine

#9Looks good that like, the last image isnt loading, so that red one has just got black mesh in it?

#13Each to their own mate.
Chrome isn't my cup of tea on a Saxo. But whatever floats the boat.
Don't think it'll suit any colour other than silver, and would need other chrome parts to go with it.

#14nah mate its not for me either! i think it would look a bit tacky,
colour coded one would go well! -
#15colour code it mate looks loads better if your gonna mesh it or better still smooth it out!

#16i think im just going to take the grille off, take the fins off or whatever they are called and mesh it silver, so the citroen badge will still be there and the black plastic around the outside of the grille will still be there, but the middle will be mesh instead of the long plastic slides, i hope you know what i mean lol
-
#17i've gone the dimma route, it was more expensive but saved messing up my original grill (which will go back on when the sax is sold)
Actually i was quite lucky as mine was 2nd hand and already sprayed zest yellow so i did cheat a little.

#18thats what ive done along with yatesy (red car above) though im looking at getting it sprayed blue some time soon.Quote:i think im just going to take the grille off, take the fins off or whatever they are called and mesh it silver, so the citroen badge will still be there and the black plastic around the outside of the grille will still be there, but the middle will be mesh instead of the long plastic slides, i hope you know what i mean lol

#20yeh there is a scratch at the bottom which is visable when you look at it but most of the scratches on the grille are at the top....which you can't unless you open the bonnet or are lying on the floor looking at the grille for whatever reason you may want to do this, but if your going to colour code it...everyones a winner

#21thanks for the help guys, is it a fiddly or tricky job? never messed around with mesh and grille's before. that dimma grille with the VTR badge looks sex by the way delboy
