Do i pay £415 for 15" or £515 for 16"

Its alot of money for the sake of 1" difference

    16" Lenso RS5 http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/4x...5_16_tyres.php
    for £515

or do I go for the 15's and save myself a £100 and buy these

    15" Lenso RS5 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15-LENSO-RS5-B...em330048696467
    for £415

the 16" I will have to travel 30 miles there and back.
the 15" will be delivered to my door.

What do you guys think? is it going to be worth £100 more and a 30 miles of traveling for the sake of an inch? does it really make that much of a difference?

    15s: (Dannyjay's)

    16s: (Uppitysi's)

    Hope that helps. :Y:

PS - Just noticed you can buy them in black now! I had my proffesionaly done at a body shop! Gutted!

thanks mate, yea bit of a gutter for yah. Is your car lowered? if so how much?
  4. #4
    Mines down 40mm matey.
  5. #5
16"'s look at lot better imo
  6. #6
I dont think there is enough in it to pay an extra £100, I think i might go for the 15's and get it lowered 50mm all round

The guy with 16's has it lowered 50mm all round i believe and he said he had a few minor problems of rubbing on the arches, this may ilimate it.

i'd go for the 15's personally mate! 16's may requir some arch work, depending on what tyres they have and how low your going!
  8. #8
Not just the wheels its the tyres too, 16" tyres are quite expensive compared to 15's depending on profile.
  9. #9
i would go for 16's, you will pay more but they will look miles better than 15's IMO
  10. #10
15's look shweet of the two photo's. Also, as time goes by, as mentioned earlier, you will spend less on tyrews for it increasing the price difference between the two
  11. #11
16's come with these tyres 195/45/16
15's come with these tyres 195/50/15

what does the middle number mean??
  12. #12
    Tyre width
  13. #13
thats the tyre profile, what you want is either 195/45/15 or 195/40/16
  14. #14
    Tyre Width i think
  15. #15
    width/profile(sidewall)/wheels size
  16. #16
yeah the width is 195. Your gonna need 45 profile tyres on 15's if you lower it really mate. And you can go 60mm down on 16's with 40 profile tyres. That would look easily the best
  17. #17
    15's without a doubt.
  18. #18
Everyone knows im going to say 15s BUT those wheels look way to small
    in 15s imo.
16s get my vote but if it were me I would just look for other wheels so
    I can have 15" rims!
  19. #19
im gonna ask them how much the 15's are with the 45 profile tyre as apose to the 50 profile tyre, there is too many people posting there own tastes i didnt think it would be so difficult lol, i suppose its what i like. I think id rather save the £100 and put it toward getting it lowered or another mod. Thanks for the help guys.
  20. #20
definately go for 15" much better and no work is needed on your arches
  21. #21
i was gona go for 15's but with the chrome lip they look smaller than they actually are, i wanted the arches filled nicely and 16's did the trick, if you got 16's with a 40 profile tyre (will be abit more expensive) but you shouldnt have any issues with rubbing.

Also checkout Formula1's at brands hatch, thats where i got mine from, and they are a great help!

You do realise that if you get the lensos you will need a 20mm hubcentric spacer and a 3mm shim? as they come with an offset of 38?

That is about another 25 - 30 quid per wheel?
  22. #22
Get the 15's! get the 45 instead of the 50 as you will have less side wall! Then slam the bitch to the floor!!!
