ok i got a new gearbox today and was just wondering if it is a hard job to fit it do i nee to drop the engine out also i will be replacing the clutch at the same time so is that hard to do as well.

or would it just be easer to get it dun by a garage that have quoted me £150 to fit the gearbox supply and fit the clutch and all oils needes is that a good price?

another thing if i am changing the clutch would it be advised to get a better clutch put it? it is a 1.4 westcoast.

150 aint bad at all if they supply the clutch i got a quote for 90 if i supply clutch once,
it aint that hard to fit just time consuming and a pain in the arse if u aint got the right tools, plus if you dont lin eht eclutch up ull need a new 1 and have to repat the process all over again.
u can do it on ramps and u dont need to drop the engine out.
    hopw that helps a bit

no need to drop engine out
its easy enough to do yourself but maybe a little awkward on the floor just using trolly jacks
150 is a good price depending what clucth there using make sure its not a reconditioned one

LUK or vleo are good makes

no need for an uprated one

i would say if your not confident in doing it your self pay the garage to do it, saves you getting your hands dirty too
