    i've got a supercharger for my vtr and want to know where abouts i can take drive from, which pully and where to mount the f**ker cos its huge and intercooler mounting and then whether or not i will need to uprate my internals, not sure how strong the lil french engine handles compression? plus wer can i get my ecu remapped in the yorkshire area cheapily.

    will i also need better injectors? and wer can i get the ally' hosing from?

    a lot to ask i know but i dead certain on doin this.

    cheers for the advice guys still need more, i will be doin the modification myself at work with my colleagues, i've got a MINI Cooper S charger and in the process of gettin an intercooler and my engine gas flowed, head skimmed and forged pistons, think i can manage to keep costs down to under £1000 clever u c i got contacts. lol. the charger was a freebie from a friend and it is brand new been told i can push 200bhp with wot i'm using and wot i've got planned.

    Please send more sites etc with details. It would be ace if there is a site with pictures of 1 that is already dun.

    cheers again guys. i'm serious about this so want it doin spot on.

    You'll need some good contacts to get it in under a grand, I was tempted by the Mini Supercharger myself but was put of by all the other costs.

    Good luck with it all and if you search on here I'm sure you'll find loads more info.

    A pretty damning review of the Mini supercharger:

    "Seen a picture of one fitted to a car. Well when I say "fitted" they hacked out the slam panel and had it sitting there over the exhaust manifold but it was not plumed in or anything like that. Don’t think that ever got up and running. Its not a very good unit to use really so think most people just don’t bother. But could be a bit of fun, good luck with it. " SSC

    people make a big long pole with a pulley on the end dont they for the mini type chargers i seen a couple on a sax, then they sit the charger next to the battery

    (Thanks to Mike for pics)

    More pics of another S/C VTR - thought these pics may help with fitting and give ideas as to how is best to position it in the engine bay!

    the eaton chager has been fitted to saxo,s -- by a comp[any in switzerland - bemani-- i think .
    you mount it over the gearbox with a long cross shaft to drive it .
    I think i can find a link to a man in carribean that has one on a vts -- but not as good power as a rotrex ( too much heat from an eaton )
    msn-- pmx@voila.fr

    DP have also used an eaton charger, though that was on their 1.4 twin turbo supercharged 206, so a different kettle of fish;

  29. #29
    eaton type charger has been fitted to saxo vts ,drive is a long shaft, attached with self aligning brgs to head, with charger mounted over g/box end of head ,mini charger is run at 14psi ,but bhp is poor at 160 @flywheel ,not 160 @wheels as with rotrex ,they sap more power and run very hot compared to rotrex ,you can do it ,but make sure you use a BIG intercooler and would suggest you might want to up your budget a bit and fit a stand alone with wideband which will make your fueling stay optimum ,all of the time ,espec as the eaton will run hotter and cause over fuelling + power loss, due to heat ,or if mapped when hot ,will run lean when cold ,(bang goes the pistons due to being to lean ), so if you going to do it fit a proper ecu control .(£800ish)
