What size wheels and tyres have you got?
generally on 15's with 35 profile i think thats fine.

iam down 60mm and i used to have 15s on the car with a 45 profile tyre with no problems atall even with a full car

oh yea sorry, 15" with a 45 profile tyre.

no mate, you won't need any archwork at all!

cheers mate, is it ok to go lower at the back than the front because ive read that some people dont recommend it.

I know a lad who has a VTS 120mm at the rear and 60mm at the front on coilovers and it looks and handles wank, so don't go too low at the back or you'll wreck the cars performance!

You'll also bounce around like a huge twat at 120mm.

so what are your opinions on 40mm front and 60mm rear??

back end will slide out mate.

also its good to upgrade ur rear shocks if your going lower then 40mm as it will kill them.

you will love overtseer!! I do, scary as fook when you first experience it, but very fun!

how low are you then mate??
  14. #14
if you are talking to me...... then im only down 35mm front and 40mm rear, but i don't get oversteer from that, but my punto used to oversteer like a bitch, 50mm rear and 30mm front!

My Saxo is 40/50mm-ish and I bounce around like a twat haven't had any oversteer I dont go fast enough I cant bare hitting a bump above 30mph.

Its being jacked up when I can be arsed with the hassle.

ok thanks for the advice guys, i might just leave it 40mm all round for now then and look into in the future.
  17. #17
i'd leave it at 40mm anyway, its the best height to roll anyway!
  18. #18
yea, think i will do mate

mine 40mm all round and its spot on. my mates got his 60mm all round with 16"'s with 45 profile and just grinded the arches away and doesn't have any rubbing on the back just abit on front on full lock. BUT doesnt handle aswell as mine

get a full kit, and go down 50, get the benefits of 40 and 60 then, looks and handleing ! dont be a women ets2k9, 40/50 aint that bad ! must have a bad set up if yours is bouncing around at that.
  21. #21
i have mines lowered 50 at the front and 70 at the back and i have no problems atall but you feel every bump on the road.
  22. #22
thats cause yours is a 1.1 mate, they need to be lowered about 70mm at the rear to sit level lol! no offence to 1.1's as i used to have one myself, but there is not enough power in a 1.1 to get oversteer so you won't experience any problems mate

Got mine set up 40mm all round!! Handles great on vtr rims!!! going to look into lowering it more thought as i am going for euro look!! Might go 60mm at front and 80 back!! having some deep dish 14's!!
