Bulb in Dash Bye Bye - ??

One of my bulbs have gone in the dash of the car. How easy is it gonna be to change this, or is it a case of taking it to a specialist to sort?

Suppose it's a good excuse to get a blue backlight instead of green.

Please help you merchants of knowledge you

In the Mk2 vtr's (white dials and digi clock) they do have leds.

It would be cheaper to but a set of clocks from a scrappy than get yours done at a garage.

If you can get hold of an led and are quite handy with a soldering iron you could do it yourself.

Keep an eye out on egay.

I sold some mark 2 dials a short while ago for less than £20 and they are a piece of cake to fit

Did you say, you wanted to change the backlight colours? If you are i have done this its not an easy job, i brought a new set of VTR mk2 dials from a breakers yard, then took them apart n fitted the new smd's, pic below. Sorry about the size!!

i need to change my digital clock leds changed to match my dials, so how did you take the back off cos i remeber i had a go last time and it was a complete bastard to get off lol

You just unclip the 8 clips that hold the black surrounding, then ur left with the actually paper dials, take them off, be extra careful taking the needles off because they break very easily, then lift off the dials then, underneath there are 6 little white clips, unclip them, then you should be left with the circuit board.

Could it be a fuse? Heard of this in other cars.
