There are few availble but BMC are the only one who provide the complete stick if that makes sense other more cheaper ones are more of an attachment.

Search "Quickshift" you'll get the answers.

Funny to see this pop up today, i was searching threads about this this morning, looking for some little stocking fillers for the VTS' first crimbo with me

I had a little look around the interweb and ebay and found one on compbrake.co.uk, it has a fairly low tech website though.

I know lots of people have these, so lets hear some reccomendations and prices and where u got them :

Im bored of a wobbley gear stick

I knew somewhere but cant think of the name to save my life they were £25 though and were really good.

    Search you'll find it.

    I have a compbrake quickshift.

Good bit of kit. Tightens the gear change and reduces the travel alot. Plus its adjustable unlike the stupidly expensive B and M.

And its more stealth. You can tuck it away under your centre console!

    how do u mean 'adjustable'?

u can shorten the throw further?

Good to hear someone else has one of these then.

I've heard the 'bottom part' kits dont remove the wobbliness of the gearstick, im quite eager to lose that particular saxo trait.

Has this kit made it more of a click-in click-out affair changing gears then with a nice firm stick? (Feels a bit wrong writing that lol )

You can move the collars that sit in the bearing up and down the gear lever.
The higher you have the collars, the shorter the shift.

It takes abit of fine tuning to get it right and there is a hacksaw involved! I just thought I'd tell you that!

You have to cut off the white ball in your standard gear stick housing.

Go on GMC Motorsport, they have there own of this type too.

No it didn't remove the slop but it tighten it up no end. Although mines " Run In " now, if you get that!

Its more than likely your main linkage thats knackered if your stick is sloppy.

And theres a pin on the gearbox that could be knackered too.

Theres so many factors that correspond to a sloppy gear stick im afraid.

    Cheers guys!

Yeh iv read about the pin, if its linkages, there just going to have to stay put. Hopefully the quickshift will clean it up a bit though

check the pin on the gearbox.. only 12p.. makes rather tight once changed...

also griffiths engineering sell saxo/106 quickshifts.. mines not fitted yet... but will be once car is back and on the road...

although he is closed for redevelopment at moment.. back in 2007
