Hmmm, splitters or bodykit?

  1. #1
Well i was gonna get sum splitters for xmas as i didnt know anybody who fit them, but i jus found out the guy thats doin my paint job at mo, fits em, n i kno him well, so maybe a lil cheaper too

Basically my question is, what u think i shud do? (aprt frm leave it standard u bodykit haters ) Its guna be a lil more expensive for definate, but as long as the car looks better, i dnt rly care. Also what bodykits would you recommend? Thanx
  2. #2
bodykit all the way, i did it and love it. i had splitter and now have a ccm sypher kit on it, looks miles better imo.
  3. #3
can u post sum pics n show me wat it looks like?
  4. #4
smoothing the std bodykit is awsome.
  5. #5
i agree smoothing the standard kit does look good, yeah mate i'll get some pics up later on of what it looked like with splitters and what it looks like with the kit on it. then all the kit haters can judge it lol
  6. #6
you mean just smoothing the tailgate out? If i smooth it out and lower it, you think it'll be cheaper than a full bodykit, plus painting and fitting?
  7. #7
dimma kit is best if youv'e got the money mate.
  8. #8
Yeah if your going for a kit then Dimma it,or go euro and smooooth
  9. #9
i seen the dimma kit, but im not too keen on it. Im gettin the Sypher spoiler, so i need a "mean" looking kit if u like.
  10. #10
i quite like the sypher kit to be honest, an i dont usually really like kits. if you've got pure money tho an your a good drawer go custom. theres a guy who lives near me with a custom kit on the hyundai coupe an it looks shit hot.

    kits all the way mate!
  12. #12
    kits suck dick

you cant get a mean kit

    dimma

or get a 106 kit and bumpers put on and be different
  13. #13
    hmm, subtle is way forward...
  14. #14
ye i like the sypher kit too, bit expensive but i suppose i dont have to get everything at once, i could do it in stages, like every couple month till i saved my money, or summin
  15. #15
my opinion is ta get a front splitter on an smooth it in, smooth in the fog lights, cut out the grill part of the front bumper and smooth it in, set of dimma side skirts smoothd in, a rear bumper and slam it with a set of euro wheels. ive seen a couple of saxos like that now, looks the dogs balls!

a lot of smoothin tho lol.
  16. #16
well i think bumpers are call bumpers for a reason(the way they bump rather than shatter like bodykits), and i bought a saxo for the way it looked (aswell as the other general goodness) so i cant understand why you would wanna go change anything too much. i like the euro/subtle look, so i think smoothing the standard is nice but not OTT because it will just crack no matter what. maybe a good splitter but anything else is a cheap pointless addition to a nice car. BUT dont get me wrong, done correctly it looks the bollocks.

smooth the std kit make it euro

If your going down the bodykit road then a sqizz over www.essexracing.com is a start then just work from there really.

I think smoothing can sometimes be as if not more expensive than fitting a kit but depends on the induvidual kit and so on but as most body styling - what one man likes another hates.

I just cant afford to have a kit fitted thats why I stopped at a spoiler :-)

body kits suck donkey dick like matt said!

    smooth the whole thing!
    locks,
    roof,
    trims,
    grill,
    boot,
    & soooooo on!

dimma its the only way forward.

sypher kits ave got to be the worst looking kit available surely, there horrid. ive heard that even stevie wonder has passed judgement on them and he said they look stupid and are the reason for him being blind because he didnt want to see anything like that again.

I'd say colour code it, then lower it on some nice alloys. Most of the bodykits are considered jap style, and you have a french car.

Jap car + Jap kit = Good
Euro car + jap kit = Stupid
euro car + euro styling = Good.

Try and have a look at Ads car, he has a black mk2 vts with colour coding and a splitter on the back. Looks alot better than alot of the kitted cars about
