Gettin Car lowered, Spax problems!

  1. #1
Alreet! I rang ABP at Nantwhich last week and ordered a Spax VSX kit from them and arranged to have it fitted the following week, I got a phone call tonight saying that they can't get hold of the VSX kit, due to supply problems. They won't be gettin more untill January. Which gave me two options:
    1) Wait for the VSX kit, untill after Crimbo or

    2) Choose a different kit, they've offered me the Koni kit (130quid extra) or G-max for 30quid more than the spax kit. I'm undecided if to wait or go for the other kit. I've done some searching and people don't seem to rate the Gmax stuff, I had them on my old car and they didn't seem bad, quite like the sound of the Koni's Any advice would be great Cheers

Really tempted to go for the Koni kit, but its £130 more expensive, does any one have the Koni kit, if so are they worth the extra cash??

If you dont want to pay the extra why dont you buy the kit somewhere else and get it fitted there?

I think that its spax themselves that can't get a part from their supplier. ABP deal with spax direct. I've also read on here that people have had problems with gettin hold of the VSX kit? Does anyone have any pics of the Koni kit on the car??

I think you might find they're having a problem in getting the shocks for the VSX kit. Tell them that mates of yours (here on Sax-p) have a Spax kit. We also wanted the VSX kit but because Spax didn't have the shocks, they chucked in the shocks from the PSX kit for free.

I as well as a few others have the PSX (adjustable shocks/dampers) kit for the same price as the VSX.

It might be a good idea to speak to Gaz at G.S.Motorsport.

I had the same issue mater i ordered a Spax VSX kit but they are totally out of stock i went for the Spax PSX kit and i'm happy i did got it for £50 less than RRP as a sorry for the VSX being outta stock. The PSX kit is cheaper than the Koni one as well i think.

Theres alot of people having problems getting hold of spax kits at the mo, no matter where you buy. The problem is actually with spax.

yeah they told me that it was actually spax who have the problem, can't get a certain part to make the kits up

Hopefully all sorted, gettin the PSX kit instead
The guy at ABP was really helpful, told me the fors and against of each kit and didn't try and force me into anythin, sounds like a top company! Can't wait to get it done!

I had big problems when I ordered my SPAX PSX Kit. It arrived 35 days after ordering it in the end

take a look at the spax psx kit or go for the koni. The difference is definetely noticeable

you can get the koni kit for about 260-270. fitting will be about 150. that totals to 420. so id ket the koni kit yourself and get someone else to fit it.
me and williams have the koni kit, he has pics of his
