the lamba sensors, one that goes to the downpipe and the other that sits in the middle of the heatshield/manifold
anyone removed.........
-
#1
-
#2mine got blown out lol why would you want to remove it?
-
#3
-
#4it will muck ur fueling up if it isnt addressed soon
-
#6what do you mean mate
do you want to know how to remove them or what hapends if you do remove them -
#7how to mate, they seem welded to the downpipe
-
#8get an ajustable spanner on it and undo
-
#9fuck adjustables... lol... mole grips do the job
why on earth would you remove the lamda!?? unless you like failing mot's!.. I suppose you could replace it with a potentiometer which you can set to the desired setting therefore manually adjusting fuelling (like mine... but its standard) but other than that it'll throw your ECU's fuel setings out and you'll end up running like a bag of shit
-
#10hes removing it to put onto another manifold (i think)Quote:fuck adjustables... lol... mole grips do the job

#12My bad lol..... just thought it was a "will this increase performance and pop in my exhaust bruv?" type question... was a little squiffy earlier not too bad now.... I think I've got a spanner that fits them, I'm sure I didn't do mine with an ajustable... ste's was done with mole grips though lol.... how proffesional
-
#13like i said mate adjustable spanners and you will be fine might be a little tight though so be carefull not to slip and round it off
-
#14ok ill try mole grips, im not a idiot that thinks an induction kit adds 25mph top end etc lol, i wouldnt go near it unless i had to.
seem welded in the downpipe though -
#15happened to mine i think the joint weakens over time, i had to buy a whole new cat.
-
#16there like welded on them fuckers, hard as fook to get off! well mine was, ended up wacking it with a hammer to get it loose, when i oput my 4 branch on, then bought another, but now have a pretty light on the dash (engine managmnet) as i bent the original lambada sensor! ah well!
-
#17if your geting a new lambda sensor then cat you just un plug tho old one and plug in the new one and get a new mani.... im pretty sure they just un plug from a connector as i've done on mine???
