Suspension Mk1 Help

Right i got a mark 1 saxo 1.1x and i bought the car with 16 inch alloys already onit bargin!! But i have noticed when i have 2 or more in the car it starts to rub onto the body work. I noticed the problem yesturday would it be the suspension maybe need stiffening it aint lowered. If so how much would this cost would be grateful for replies

You will proberly need arch work doing before it gets lowered

im taking it you mean its rubbing on the rear if so arch work is needed if your wanting to have people in the back of your car. find where it is scrapping and take the angle grinder to it. with the vt's it rubs on the metal part of the rear quarter. this is solved by taking the rear quarter off and grinding away at the arch below the holes that are used to fit the rear quarter.

have a look at where it is rubbing and post some pictures up.

Right i had a look and it is rubbing on the back of the wheel so between the tyre and the wall of the car u fink i could grind it ????

what profile tyres are you running? if it's on 45's then take them off and buy 40 profiles. if it's rubbing on the inside arches then you need spacers, 5mm should cure it. you will also have to grind some of the inside of the outer metal arch to stop the outer tyre rubbing.

IM running on 4 new 45 as their was normal size tires on their before. I can't afford to go down to 40 at the moment. How much would it cost at a garage to have done as i aint got a grinder and to be honest would'nt no where to start
