Lower strut brace

   Right ive ordered a lower strut brace (OMP) and its not arrived yet but i had a look today as to how it will fit.
   
   My concern it that there will not be enough room for it as it is pretty deep (ie not just a plate of metal to bolt in) but from the photo it looks about 2-3cm thick.

   So without using longer bolts to fit the OMP one how does it go on? Or am i being thick and its just as thin as the sparco one...

   Never fitted one but i would imagine the fittments are the same, that looks like it sits half nested to me. Im sure all will become clear when it arrives though.

   yes i hope so... maybe the OMP sits around the bush? and the sparco one simply bolts on behind it?

   they are around £35, my car isnt lowered.
   
   The lowest you can go with them is 40mm and lower and they scrape i believe.

   take nut off DO NOT REMOVE BOLT slide brace on bolt put nut on tighten up jod done

    lol i kind thought the bolts should stay in, keeping the sump off the ground an all....

    John advised me that the lower brace wasnt needed! he doesnt fit them to superchargerd or turbo cars and didnt have one on the saxo wen he rallyed it either...i have the upper strut brace and that makes a lil difference.

    What do the upper strut braces do: keep the suspension together at the top?

    i felt more diffrence when i fitted the bottom 1 and imo was 30 well spent

    good luck with Dtrut Bracer mate, i waited 4 weeks for mine and was told that they are on back order from OMP in Italy, i gave up in the end and got a refund.
    landy has got one on his and they do make the difference
