1-10 how hard is it to do.. (for a novice moder) lol.
Pedals

#1
-
#25-6 mayb, the hardest part is drilling through the pedal in order to screw in the screws, be careful not to hit the centre arm of the pedal tho when your drilling, i found that sticking a block of wood under the pedal stopped it from moving to help with drilling..
-
#3cheers.
you think it looks worth it? -
#4Yeah they definetly look better. I've got the Citroen sport pedals and think they look quite smart.
-
#5Can you guys post pictures off them. Just want to see if it is worth doing
-
#6aren't they slippery though? they look like they could be slippy pedals
-
#7no not slippy they have rubber studs on my sparco ones, you have to have them on or else they will fail the mot
there not that hard but as said the hardest part is srilling holes in the pedals, the brake and clutch pedal you have to do inside the car but the gas pedal comes off as its plastic -
#8i was thinkin of gettin some chrome ones or summin, for my car as i have chrome handbrake and gearknob? What type you think i/we should go for?
-
#9dont think the chrome would last long mate thats all, there will be a lot of wear on the pedals
-
#10whats the best make and style to get?
-
#11im getting some momo ones myself
just all plain silver but gonna spay them red and blue just to be different (i know the paint will rub off over time due to wear but hey im not really to fussed).....
message to CERTIFIABLE could you post a pic of your saxo sports pedals mate im curios to see what they look like you see
-
#12hello mate can you tell me how you fitted the alloy one to the plastic one as it doesnt have a big enough bend in it, so the bolts dont look long enough. thks for any advise.
-
#13hello can you advise me on fitting the alloy one to the plastic one as doesnt have enough bend in it, so the bolts are to short, any advise would helpthks
-
#14my sparco bolts weny through no problem ill have a look at mine in the morning for you mate and ill get a picture of it too
-
#15
have a look on ebay mate but be sure you want some as it will make the pedals closer together than they already are lol
personally i like the sparco ones but get yourself on ebay and make sure the bolts go through the middle of the pedal your buying -
#16cant you put the bolt on the outside of the pedals? It says theres a 50mm legal gap or summin like that between each pedal
-
#18Cant you put the bolts thru the edge of the pedals? On most pedals theres loads of holes in the pedal, probably part of the styling. Does the bolt have to go through the middle of the pedal? Cant the bolt go through any of the holes?
-
#19not really mate if you take the rubbers off the pedals then there quite thin so you have to buy some pedals with holes in the middle at least
heres mine
-
#20right i get ya. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...2380&rd=1&rd=1
I had my eyes on these babys. I take it these wont work then as the holes are on the outside? -
#21nah mate as long as there up the middle like the picture then they will be ok, the ones with them on the outide are useless lol
-
#22i'm glad you said mate cos i wud have got them and then i'd have been f****d
cheers
-
#23no problems mate, they do them in a chrome type, its called polished aluminium, probablies your best bet as the chrome will come off due to wear anyway
oh and was a meant to be getting pictures for you -
#24I brought some Sparco peddles mate for my Saxo.
They fitted fine and looked great, but what a stupid mod. They eventually
became noisy and irritating.
And I noticed I would press the accelerator + brakes together if not taking
care.
Its personally not worth the time/money/effort. Its a tiny mod that nobody
will take interest into.
End of the day though its down to you
-
#25of the pedals i think yeah, but u just showed em
So polished alumium is best to get? I do need aluminium ones, as iv got chrome gear knob, handbrake and just ordered an aluminium dash kit off ebay, so would suit the rest of the car
-

#27how do they become annoying sound? Do they squeak?
-
#28Well come on lol, French cars dont give you must space as it is.
having the peddles on only makes matter worse.
It didnt happen all the time just sometimes, wheras without them it never
happens..
Oii im only a Size 9!! lol
That £15 for Sparco Peddles could go towards smoked side repeaters
-
#29well mine dont lol, rushy must have a mouse under the pedals lol
i must just be used to driving with small pedals as ive only owned citroens lol -
#30I actually had the exact same ones as yours mate lol!
The noise I got with mine was the peddles rattling once they come a bit
loose.
I think Predator must of fit them perfectly as he seems to have no issues.
I just feel they arent worth it, but if you want them on the thats cool I guess.
It better to be different.
Simple peddles, simple control! -
#31lol, nowt rong with havin pet animal under you pedals huh? Mr jangles lol.
-
#32yeah i often overtighten bolts to make sure they dont come loose, i think mine came with nylon nuts either that or i used some threadlock cant remember now
-
#33if they come loose, just tighten them again
How long does it take to fit them? Is it easy?
-
#34as said worst part is drilling the pedals but once youve done that they go on a doddle, if you bugger up the the rubbers go back on easy lol
-
#35so you take the rubber ones off? I thought you left them on and the others just go over them?
-
#36The peddles should have rubber grips on them (think my sparco ones did)
So you tighten the aftermarket peddles to the original ones without the
rubber on.
Then thats it.
MOT failure if there is no rubber grips on the clutch and brake I think. -
#37no i meant if you knack it up then just put the rubbers that are alrteady on the peddles back on lolQuote:so you take the rubber ones off? I thought you left them on and the others just go over them?
mine have rubber studs which you push in by hand lol, but they have to be there for the mot and help you also -
#38http://www.steeringwheel.com/shop/la...p?prod_id=1297
