My plans

  1. #1
Hello i have been working out my finances for January And my plan is to make a start on the interior first:

Removing Rear Seats And Replacing Them With MDF board, Carpeting the boards (this will take the shape of the seats except they wont be useable)

Hard to describe but will upload pics later

    Installing A Saxo Show Cage

    Installing Sports Seats

    Installing A Harness

    Changing Door Cards

    Replacing Gear Stick

    Replacing Hand Brake Cover's

Sound Proofint The Doors, Boot Lid And Boot Surround

    Replacing Stearing Wheel

    Replacing (Adding) New Pedals

Does this plan sound ok or is it over the top?

    Cheers
    Adam

Sounds like some good plans there matey! Are you planning an ICE install or just going for a racer look?

Sounds like a good plan to me mate, but is it clever spendin all that money on a car you dont like/want?

Sounds same as what i have done

No point sound proofing if your not having ICE in there?Unless that is a later plan

Just what I was thinking! There is also the boarding out of the back, not necessary unless the ICE goes in or you just want it to look tidy!

There will be an ice install but its going to take time for me to build it to the way i want it, I dont want fibreglass here there and everywhere so im going to try and blend it in to its current surroundings so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb or take all the room up, i will only be having fron comps sub and amp thats it,

I do like the car its just how tacky it is inside that i dont like about it and pisses me off on a long drive in the morning thats why im going to have to change it

Yup its true and if you strip the interior of the rear seats etc you have any more it will sound horrible

Sounds good, not a ice person myself so Id rather simpley strip all the rear interior out, but sayin that Ive had to many bad experiences in cars over the years so I dont leave home with out bottles of water, oil, full tool kit, trolly jack and half dozon rags (if you want to be with anyone when you break down its me) so I would never be able to strip out my sax.

Go for it, if you planin to do most of what you have mentioned the MaxPower Haynes manual covers all of the above and fairly clearly shows you how too. Worth £15 if you a 'have a go hero' :-) good luck
