Uprated bulbs

looking at getting some new bulbs for the front headlights but theirs so many different options and offers out their.

really don't want to spend much more than 20 quid, which removes all the HID upgrade kits before anybody says.

which makes are the best to go for, really want something with a decent blue tint for that xenon effect.

thanks guys. ........... any pics would be a useful help as well.

Go with some phillips xenon bulbs they will give you a blue tint. But you won't get the same effect as what a HID kit will do, no where near mate. You can pick up a HID kit for about £100 on the 'bay.

Do you find them to be much better than standard?
I guess they can't allow for much tint on the main headlights because they'd end up being illegal?

Autobulbs Direct is where it's at

i have uprated xenon bulbs (xenon effect i believe) and there is a noticable difference.

ring sportz blue for me. had them in my old head light units and got them in my angel eyes now. they have a blue tint to the glass and give of a bit of a blueish tint when they are on.

when i had normal sidelights, i got some LED sidelight bulbs. they cost about £6 from halfords. you wont get a whiter light than that. they look awesome paired with some ring sportz blue headlights.

hehe not happened to me yet Mark mind you only had them on 2 days or so, maybe soon. some knob flashed me when i had my normal bulbs in, give him a good blast of my full beam the twat! maybe because i have my beam as high as it will go?

I've got some Ring Ultra Xenon bulbs in. They're pretty bright and awsome on full beam, but they don't have any blue tint. So I bought some phillips blue vision sidelight blue bulbs, which also arn't very blue! But sod it, I'm going another direction now, will try and post picks 2moz.

Get Ring SportBlue if u want a good blue bulb. Can also get them illegally bright, but that's ur choice!

how can the police actually tell if they are illegal or not?
  21. #21
Doubt they could after u've blinded them!
  22. #22
think they might hav an e-mark on them or something slong those lines?

not sure on this tho but thats my guess!

i think the only way would be for them to go to the trouble of taking the bulb out and look at the power ratings on them.

unless they have some fancy kit that can calculate the power of a bulb that is switched on? but i doubt it.
