Kent cam advice

hey, got a kent cam pt30 for my silvertop mk1 vtr. Just wondering is this cam ok for that engine as i sometimes see pt30 listed for 1.4 engines?? and what gains roughly does it give? cheers

You can check in their catalog if they are ok for your model. Don't expect much gains. Air filter, exhaust manifold, camshafts, remap = around 20 HP. The most expensive 20 HP

how else are you going to get 20hp?

ive got everythin needed upto cams, so cam is my next step. on the kent cam site ther is pt30 for 1.4 and 1.6 vtr , but all the specs listed on the cam look exact same so i take it its the same cam for both engines? i no its not a total wild cam but i got it for much less than i would geting new one as im not spending loads more on a vtr engine

yeah i think there the same 1.4's and vtr's think its bototm, end thats the main difference, just make sure its the same type of cam (ie roller or non roller)

my car has seen 27bhp increase with breather mods and cams this is on a 90bhp model so i think thats pretty good cost just over a grand aswell

27 hp on the wheels? Did you test it on the dyno?
