Lowering in the lincoln area

   Does anyone know where i can get the rear of my car lowered in the lincoln/lincolnshire area ?

   have you tried richtoy or msm mate they do it for a living had few cars done there they do a very good job i can find other place for you if you want theres a place in barnetby near grimsby call dennis vassey vehicle repairs he did my suspension kit on my Fiesta RS Turbo at a good price his number is 01652688904 he also has a rolling road there hes very good.

   i know someone just near gainsborough that can do it, i'll ring him in the morning and get back to you, youre looking about 100-150 for lowering.

   as above your looking around 100 - 150 for lowering mate as the torsion bar is a bastard.

   sorry to hi-jack ya thread mate but can you let me kno where you go to get your torsion bar lowerd as i'm from lincoln aswell m8 and aint havin much look, but i have been told to try .. langworth motorsport .. if u know where it is?

    I could do a rear torsion bar lowering for you - I live out near gainsborough
    
    Trouble is - its a £50 job if the torsion bars come out easily enough or a £150 if they dont
    And to be honest sometimes they are just too rusted in and you cant get em out at all
    
    How old is the car?

    its a r-reg m8 an i can just tell its gonna be stuck in but am gonna see wat this other bloke has to say because he's a bit closer but if there's no such luck with him them al let you know. thanks alot tho mate

    LOL yeah I probably wouldnt touch an R reg
    
    They are an utter pain - I did my quiksilver one first time in about 4 hours
    But then I did a gti where I had to take the whole beam off and stick it in a vice and spend an hour with a sledge hammer and an acetalyn torch just to get the torsion bars out

    yeah i kno they a pain in the arse if there seized up but am just hoping for the best really m8 lol, gonna start sprayin it up with wd40 when i know its goin in.

    use, coca cola on them, leave one end submerged in it if you can, then swap after a while, it eats at the rust
