fitting a rally steering wheel??

   do I need the head that seperates the wheel from the dash...like a distancer??
   this is the wheel(similar to this one)

   I was in doubt couse this wheel i am after is a deep wheel so thought that it would be to close to me....

   any one know where to get a cheap suede dished steering wheel like the one on the pic on the right, been wanting one for ages but dont want to spend loads
