led light bulbs

   dunno if this is the right part of the forum, but anyone fitted led bulbs - e.g.

   what are they like? i know they're good on motorbikes as they don't use much power... and as the alternator seems weak on the saxo could be of some benefit to helping the battery. plus the led lights on the back of bmws give a good colour - as i've now got smoked lights which might look good, but don't seem as bright thinking this might be of benefit.

   the good thing about LED is that they hardly draw any current so it will take a long time to run the battery flat
   
   if they are actually stop AND tail LED lights then i think they will look good

   the battery shouldnt run flat with the lights on if the engine running, so the current they draw shouldn't really be an issue.
   
   they claim to light up faster than a standard bulb, but it must be mili-seconds?
   
   maybe worth a look for £15 though

   ive got white led side lights miles better than the standard bulbs

   have ordered a set of those bulbs, so will come back and let you know what they're like when i get them.

   yeah, that's what i thought flimbo. but have been told that the lights on some motorbikes do drain their batteries when only idling - they need to be moving. have also been told that alternators are notoriously crap in french cars so was wondering whether the one in my vtr is good enough to run the lights, blower and radio when sat idling - get impression it isn't at times.

   my brother bought a set of these about a year back and to tell you the truth there a bit rubbish. the light isn't dispursed very well, so you only get a small dot of light in the rear cluster rather than the whole section lighting up.
