How low on vtr wheels?

  1. #1
Hi people. I'm planning on lowering my car in the new year. Just wanted to know how low I can go on vtr wheels with 55 profile tyres? I'll get the tyres changed after, cash is a bit tight.
I want to go as low as i can without having to modify the arches.

    Thanks

40mm and 60mm is a nice set up mate
you could go 60mm and 80mm

60mm front and 70-80mm back although you will lose all handling and it'll be purely for show.

This is probably one of those dumb questions I'll regret asking but why not lower it the same all round?

70-80mm is too low i dont like the look of 70-80mm 60mm is enough if im being honest i think that is too low

Any pics of a Saxo dropped around 50mm on vtr wheels?

60mm all round? On 55 profile tyres? And no rubbing?

Just a random guess my self but it might be because you have more weight on the front because of your engine and if you lower it to low it could do the following things:
    • Rip the bottom of engine off when going over speed hump
    • Badly Effect Something Or Other
    • Make bad guessed like me

So... 60mm all round, on 55 profile tyres (for now), no arch mods needed and no rubbing?

Im 60 on front with vtr wheels and 55 profile tyres, never had problems with speed bumps or anything, the back is higher than the front standard so that is why you need to lower the rear more for it to look even.

But for better handling the rear should be a little higher than the front

Wouldnt say that was 70 on the back there ash. You cant really go any lower than 60mm on the front without custom springs or coilovers. Dont have the back too much lower than the front as it looks ghey imo.

If you really wanted to you could go 80mm plus all round without mods on the arches.

if your wanting it low then imo 60mm is your best bet, one of my mates had a vtr that was 100mm on the rear and 80mm on the front. it looked good but the ride and handling was sh*t, and it took about 2 mins to get it over a spped bump
