I do believe Dp are no longer doing the saxo conversions, but best to get confirmation from Dave Perry, if yo uare interested in having a conversion done. -

#10Why has he give up Andy???
Too much hassle? Whats the detail? -
#11cheers mate
-
#12too much hassle lol, i think my car was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak.
He mentioned something about not being able to cost the conversions properly as they were always so unpredictable in terms of labour costs etc. Every one worked out different and always over-ran in time/labour. Basically he never made any money out of them. -
#13it wud be intresting to hear why dp no longer do a conversion for the saxo
-
#14see above
-
#15I believe you're selling yours now Andy
What price range are you looking at?
-
#16i want £8,500 for it but not stopping working on it lol Ordering a twin plate clutch on monday as it's going in next week for a new box. Single plate is too much to deal with as I'm trying to buy a house in milton keynes so unless i want a left calf the size of a russian weight lifters' with all those round-abouts. I think it's going to take a fair while to sell it so I'm going to have some fun with it whilst it's still in my possession
-
#17so i take it you have a turbo'd VTR? you had it dyno'd?
-
#18last dyno'd at GMC with the old turbo which was not boosting properly and only running 0.8 bar. Came out with 165@wheels. Now got a new turbo with different characteristics and boosts upto 1.4 bar. Yet to get it dyno'd though.
-
#19how much was the vtr conversion? any one out there got a supercharger
-
#20i've had both
turbo stuff was about 6 grand but i had a full on engine rebuild which involved a complete strip down of the engine replacing pistons, boring the block out, new oil pump etc etc etc -
