the springs cost inbetween £30 -£65 depending where you go (i recommend ebay) and for a 1.0 the lowest your looking at just for springs is 35mm which isnt too bad seeing as you sound like you just want to do some general modifying unlike me who is looking to go euro which means extral low lol.

neways im from manchester so i dont know any shops around yur area but id get on www.yell.com or ask some of your friends or even use the search tool on here to search for shops around your area.

i hope this info has helped you

the best thing to do is ask some one you no or a friend of someone who has lowered there car some that lives by you ,take it were they had it done , then get a price ... then buy the springs ... 35mm on your car max if you dont want any problems

right from what i understand is

you want to knwo cost and whats involved in lowering your saxo

    well you need springs
and a garage to adjust the lower rear torsion bar

    personally id buy new springs

i got some for £35 that lowers it 50mm

    30/40mm - Handling

    50/60mm - Looks

Lowering springs on the front and torsion bar on the rear adjusted to suit.

Lowering springs are around £50 (40mm). A suspension kit (which includes springs, shocks/dampers) are around £175. It's advisable to uprate the standard shocks/dampers if you're going down more than 40mm, but it's not essential. If so, a suspension kit will be your best bet.

Expect to pay £100-£200 to have the front and rear lowered.

text talk makes it harder to understand and harder to read, plus it pisses people off, so try to avoid using it please!

but Damo is spot on ^^ there ^^ imo with what he said!

    When lowered expect....

    Alot more tyre wear
    bumpier ride
    suspension will wear out quicker

    Do a search on here.....
