Racing Cams

    How much would racing cams cost for my saxo VTR mk1, are the cams the things that make the cambelt move????

    About 200quid. They are conected to the cambelt and controlled by them, they make the valves move though (steep learinng curve ahead)

    btw, proper racing cams will be no good for road use. there is a lot to lern about cams before just buying the most hardcore set available.

    I purchased a piper 285 cam for my vtr this is had some great increse's once it had been remapped i think its also about the wildest you should go for road use

    how much did the piper 285 cams cost you??

    did you just book your car into a garage to get done? is it a hard job??

    I landed lucky with it mate and purchased it from a lad off here for £100 but to purchase in the shop i think its around the £300 mark maybe more, and if you dont know anyone who can fit it or you cant do it yourself i think you will be looking around another £300 mark for a garage to install and set up correctly then you are going to have the cost of a remap aswell wich would be around another £400 but is not completely necessary to do this but to get the best form the cam it is recommended
