1.1 brake upgrade

  1. #1
Have been advised by a local garage that a judder I am experiencing whilst braking is due to the front discs needing replacing. Advised that discs should be replaced every 20k miles and pads (which I have replaced in the past)every 10k miles. I drive a 52 reg 1.1 saxo which has done 29k miles. Never raced or rallied ! Does this sound feasable? If I replace discs and pads can I upgrade to vtr spec? Running on 14" genuine Citroen alloys and any guidance, pitfalls, advice, would be appreciated.

I'd just get some upgraded discs and pads mateif not just standard stuff. There's no point in spending too much though as you say, its not ragged about so unless you feel the brakes could compromise your driving then there isn't much point in going for upgrades

you can have my old front vtr/vts brakes. the disks have few months left and youll need pads but can have them for 30 quid.
