   Doing a mini service on the car. I'm a novice at this stuff so is there anything which needs checking every so often. I mean greasing etc

   when i do a service on my car...
   put an engine flush in, run for the allowed amount of time
   drop the oil when hot
   replace oil filter, remembering to oil new o ring on filter
   replace fuel filter (not in engine bay, underneath car near tank)
   fill with oil
   clean air fliter (i use parts wash at work and then use blow gun)
   
   as far as greasing is concerned, all you can grease is the brake lines under the car to help prevent corrosion.
