#2you wont really see and gains, but it will free up the exhuast gases alot allowing the potential for more power to be released by other mods (eg cams etc.)
The noise will go up a bit, and from experience when you de cat it the note becomes a little deeper lower down the revs.
Im not sure about this running your cat with a decat middle box thing, you either have the cat on the car or not. Do you mean a center section without the middle silencer? -
#3oh soz i ment a decat with the middle box just like that no back box, if i was to change my backbox is it worth doing or just as good keeping my standerd one?Quote:you wont really see and gains, but it will free up the exhuast gases alot allowing the potential for more power to be released by other mods (eg cams etc.)

#5Like mentioned on its own you may only see a slight gain in accelration or improved pick-up on motorway driving say 70-80, the most gains would be from the manifold to be honest, the quicker you can get the gases out of the head the better.
I changed mine all at the sametime saving money.
With a manifold, decat, straight through centre section and say powerflow or other custom back box with a simallar sized oval tailpipe your get the most out of the exhaust performance wise and sill a standard look to the rear of the car.
Also best gains would also be found from complimenting the free flowing exhaust with a performance airfilter but thats another topic all on its own.
In short, change the manifold, decat it then just get a standard lookin custom back box - job done :-)
